1. Who We Are

Pickastor ("we", "us", "our") is a product data optimization service for e-commerce stores. We help your products get discovered by AI shopping platforms like ChatGPT, Google AI, and Perplexity.

2. What Data We Collect

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

  • Your name and email address
  • Your store URL
  • A password (stored as a secure hash — we never see your actual password)

Store & Product Data

When you connect your WooCommerce store, we access:

  • Product titles, descriptions, prices, categories, images, and tags
  • Store name and URL

We never access your customers, orders, payment information, or any other WooCommerce data beyond products.

Usage Data

We automatically collect:

  • Pages you visit on pickastor.com
  • Browser type, device type, and screen size
  • IP address (anonymized)
  • Referring website

AI Readiness Scans

When you run a free AEO Score scan (with or without an account), we analyze publicly available data from the URL you provide: page structure, meta tags, product markup, and content quality. We store the scan results.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide our service: optimize your product data and push it back to your store
  • Generate AEO scores: analyze your store and provide recommendations
  • Create product feeds: generate optimized XML/JSON feeds for AI platforms
  • Send transactional emails: account confirmation, password resets, purchase receipts
  • Improve our product: understand usage patterns to make Pickastor better

We never sell your data to third parties. We never use your product data to train AI models. Your data is yours.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase (hosted on AWS in the EU region) and Vercel. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest.

WooCommerce API credentials are stored encrypted and are only used to communicate with your store. We never share these credentials with anyone.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (EU-hosted)
  • Vercel — website hosting
  • Stripe — payment processing (we never see your full card number)
  • OpenAI / Anthropic — AI models for product optimization (your product data is sent for processing but not used for model training)

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies only — to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Your Rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your data in a portable format
  • Object to processing of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@pickastor.com. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your data (including product data, enrichments, and scan results) is permanently deleted within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

Pickastor is a business tool. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you by email if we make significant changes. The "last updated" date at the top shows when this policy was last revised.
